Hello and welcome to The Culture Project. I hope everyone is doing well these days. The markets are pretty crazy. NFTs, stocks, crypto, it’s all looking pretty bad. If you’ve been in the space for a long time, then you’ve been here before. If you are newer, then this may be a painful time for you. This is nothing new though, so stay strong. If you have conviction in the tech and the artists, just wait it out. We will have greener days.
A year ago I would have no issue finding tons of projects to cover per article, but these days I’m lucky to find interesting things to cover. Luckily there have been a few projects a week to check out that are worth talking about. Rodeo still has great stuff coming out all the time and I’m happy to share that art here. Wren, I hope your not getting tired of me pinging you every week with my pickups of your work. Your style will never get old for me. They have a distinct look, but there is always a new piece that I’m happy to collect. We have two really cool minimalistic projects dropping this week. Pretty unique from what we normally see dropping and I really like both of them.
Lets dive in.
Rodeo mints of the week.
Nollie Inward Heel Greece Athens by Michał Mazurkiewicz
Banalography #016 by Luigi Stranieri
Presented by a lonliboy on Verse
Mints on Tuesday - 6 pieces in the set.
Price: Auction - Starting bid $100
I was showing these to my wife earlier and we were both blown away by them. I grew up in the dial-up age and would frequent BBS’s in the 90’s. Each would have their own ASCII art at the forefront of the server. Some were pretty damn impressive and I’ve always loved the style since then. These animated versions of those are so well done and gave me such a nostalgic feeling when checking them out. The use of the text to not only animate, but also describe the piece at the same time is so well done.

Even though these animated pictograms are fairly high resolution (1575x1575px),
they are all rendered in a 45x45 character grid as ASCII art, so in a way they are very low resolution depictions of ideas and feelings.

MazeFlipper by Beervangeer x SuperGood
Presented on Art Blocks
Mints on Wednesday - 96 pieces in the set.
Price: 0.03 ETH
I didn’t realize this was animated at first until I clicked on one to save the image. It’s a wonderful minimalistic project. The animations are simplistic traces of the final piece, but adds some nice depth to each piece. They have some great patterns and colors throughout.
MazeFlipper Animation
MazeFlipper by Beer van Geer bridges ancient Shipibo artistry with generative algorithms, creating geometric patterns that echo across scales—from microscopic circuits to cosmic structures. Inspired by Kene patterns, traditional Shipibo embroidery that intuitively follows mathematical principles of symmetry and tessellation, this work reveals how indigenous wisdom naturally incorporated concepts now central to computational art.
The project connects Western maze symbolism with Shipibo cosmic snake motifs, inviting contemplation of universal organizational principles that transcend cultures and time.
100% of proceeds from this collection directly support Nouvelle Planète's work with Shipibo women in the Peruvian Amazon, preserving ancestral knowledge and creating economic opportunities.
Collectors can order physical versions of their digital artwork as handcrafted embroideries by Shipibo artisans through the SuperGood website, creating a meaningful cycle that honors indigenous traditions while exploring the digital frontier. More info on SuperGood.Art.
