Hello and welcome to The Culture Project. This weeks lineup turned out to be all animated projects. Something we are seeing more and more of lately. The markets are pretty brutal right now. So I’ve been staying away from the charts and focusing more on the art. I do that most of the time, but this weekend I did only that. I did end up picking up a couple cool pieces I’ll share. There are always little gems to find out there for a good price. One of these turned out to be just that for me.
Lets dive in.
I recently talking about rodeo.club and how fun it’s been collecting art there for so cheap. riiiis is an artist I’ve followed for a while, but haven’t collected a lot of art from. I minted this amazing piece called landscape on rodeo a few days ago. This is a really beautiful abstract landscape.
I liked it so much that I started looking at their other work on objkt. They have some really cool 1/1s they have posted and I saw one that immediately caught my eye. It was minted seven months ago and never put up for sale. I put in an offer and the next morning it was in my wallet.

Alchimie has been out for a little while and I some how missed it up until now. This has a perpetual blend of motion and shapes. It really looks like water colors shifting between abstract shapes and colors. I enjoyed going through some of the mints and watching them.
“Alchimie” is an enchanting display of colours and structures. Starting from the basic selection of two colours from a carefully curated palette and a series of random squares, the algorithm transforms these squares into complex, flowing, sophisticated structures with a rich spectrum of shades derived from the original colours.
The project mirrors the ancient art of alchemy, where simple base elements undergo a transformation into something refined and valuable. Through algorithmic artistry, the basic shapes and colours evolve into animated, organic-looking compositions that seem to breathe with life. It also marks a reconciliation between different styles for the artist: the interweaving lines seen in “Flowers” (2021) integrate elegantly with the characteristic pixel flows of “Volute” (2022), creating a work of exceptional coherence and beauty.
"Alchimie" explores the beauty that can emerge from the simplest of elements through computational creation. It results in stunning, dynamic pieces that captivate and inspire, reminding us of the boundless creativity afforded by digital expression.

Ongoing Mint - 380 pieces minted in the set. Mint closes in 20 days.
This project is Animated & Interactive.
Price: 0.0013 ETH + 0.0008 ETH Mint Fee
Ephemeral Cohesion has a really cool look to it. It reminds me of looking under a microscope and seeing small living things interacting in their own ways. Though I prefer the black and white look more, the color ones really do pop. These look amazing in full screen as they adapt to your screens resolution.
Using particle simulation as a motif, it expresses the momentary mixing and emergence of a group. There are various personalities within the group, and they periodically aggregate and separate. When viewed macroscopically, it is reminiscent of a single organism.
This work was created as a key visual for the Tokyo exhibition "dialog()", a traveling exhibition of generative art from East Asia. This was also intended to symbolize a place to dialogue that is limited in duration.
Here is a really cool video showcasing the project created by Ayumu Nagamatsu.

Mints on Wednesday - 256 pieces in the set.

This is a little different than other animated projects. The way it can move and bounce around at times can be chaotic and some outputs are very smooth. The layouts and boards can feel never ending as new patterns and colors emerge as it flows through the piece.
This project is inspired by my research on creating robotic arms. It constructs basic units in a plane through the rules of division and growth. These units move and breathe periodically according to their own frequencies, and their semi-random, semi-regular arrangement seems to form the basic cellular units of this two-dimensional plane, weaving the entire complex organizational structure.
