Hello and welcome to The Culture Project. We are here with the next iteration of the Weekly Roundup. This has always been the fx(hash) Weekly Roundup, but maybe it’s time to evolve and grow a little. I’m going to branch out and talk about more platforms that support and create generative art. Not sure if the layout will change much, but I will be adding the proper info so you know where the projects I cover are minting. I’m still a huge fan of fx(hash) and will continue to write about, collect, and support the platform. I just feel the need to spread out and expand this article more. I was going to call this the Gen Art Weekly Update, but my first project I’m covering this week is AI based. So, we’ll just figure this out as we go along.
Lets dive in.
Rules of the Game by Michael Neff
Mints on Monday - 50 curated pieces in the set.
Price: 24 hour rebate ranked auction. Lowest winning bid is what everyone pays. ETH / CC
This is a really cool project based on different kinds of made up sports fields from an aerial photo view. It’s a curated set of 50 pieces. The ones you see on the site will be the ones you get after mint. I really enjoyed going through these and looking at the little details in each piece. It would be fun to try and make up a sport based on the fields.
Rules of the Game explores familiarity turned askew. The series delves into the typology of fields, courts, and tracks, capturing them from an overhead perspective reminiscent of satellite imagery or drone photography. What initially passes as documentary photography, unravels into an uncanny realm, where the seemingly mundane transforms into the surreal. Lines on familiar fields become too abundant, key equipment is misplaced, roads lead to nowhere, shadows that appear natural lack any tangible source, and perspectives skew like reflections in a warped mirror.
Collectors can also purchase a special c-print of the piece(s) they collect from Neff’s photography lab of choice (ordering details to come). This chemical-based printing process accentuates each image’s highlights + reflects the artist’s roots in traditional photography.
Ditch by Max Generis
Presented on fx(hash)
Mints on Tuesday - 100 pieces in the set.
Price: 2 Tezos
These are some beautiful abstract pieces. Some have geometric shapes and some are a little more free flowing. I love the bold lines, selected color palettes, and chaotic flow fields throughout.
This generative piece is the result of my countless experiments with various techniques and ways to look at things.
It is rendered by default at a width of 1024px with an aspect ratio of 16:9.
the overlaid menu allow you to render a 1 - 5 times larger image and also download it.

Presented on fx(hash)
Mints on Tuesday - 128 pieces in the set.
Price: 0.005 ETH (Base)
This is a wonderfully minimalistic work. Another where the colors selected are paired really well. Some of them have a washed feel to them with grainy sections where blocks use to be.
What is more subtle is more hidden,
but its power and influence is greater.

Resting Place For Wild Pigeons by Juhani Halkomäki
Presented by Haiver on Alba Art
Mints on Wednesday - 200 pieces in the set.
Price: 0.01 ETH
A project from the LET IT FLOW series on Alba. A curated group of projects that focus on flow fields and pushing the limits of what we think they are capable of. I’m new to Juhani’s work and am glad to have found out about him. He has released some great projects on fx(hash) and I really enjoyed exploring this new project.
What can we discover when artists push a familiar technique to its limits, or start to layer multiple techniques together into something genuinely new?
Terrestrial feelers, a heavenly horn section, wormholes to parallel universes, or a resting place for wild pigeons — Juhani Halkomäki’s debut on ETH, embarks on an adventure across time, space, and dimensions. Its purpose? To discover meaning within the gaze of the viewer.
Presented by Ivan Zhyzhkevych on Verse
Mints on Friday - 360 pieces in the series.
Price: $160 fixed price. ETH / CC
I’m a pretty big fan of Erik’s work. I’ve collected several of his past projects on fx(hash) and Verse. He has a wonderful signature style that, to me, screams Erik when you see it. Usually his work focuses on a singular object as the focal point. But with this project, he has created colorful little worlds to watch. You should go the project page and check them out live in all their glory. Beautiful, colorful, animated worlds to explore. It looks like you will be able to generate different iterations of the project and choose which one you would like to mint after buying a mint ticket.
A few of his pieces from my collection.
In Autoscope, Erik Swahn returns to the theme of color as building material from previous series such as Farbteiler (2021), Punktwelt (2022) and Funktor (2023). His new series as a whole describes an abstract universe consisting only of color, with each piece depicting a different scene within that universe.
