Hello and welcome to The Culture Project. It’s been a really cool art month for me. I’ve had the opportunity to collect some amazing art from artists I’ve always wanted to collect from and some artists I’ve collected from for a long time. I’ve been more focused on the article and art releases this last month. I feel like I was doing the bare minimum there for a little while. I have a renewed energy in the digital art space now. I don’t know what’s changed, but I’m just enjoying it again. It feels good.
Lets dive in.

Releases on Objkt.
Settlements by The Paper Crane
I love this series. It’s such a great style and vibe. The Paper Crane is doing 1/1 commissions for this series as well. There is a place I really love and I think they would make an amazing version of it. If anyone is interested you can DM them on twitter to find out more.
A collection that combines my passions for travel, architecture, and landscapes.

Pepe.exe by Cemhah & Matthew Seremet
zancan released four new works on objkt this week. I was able to collect a couple of them. They look a little like the Landscape with Carbon Capture series with a few similar looking traits. Always happy to add more of his art to my collection.
There is a great tweet here that talks about this release. Very much worth a read.
Technology advances at a pace that the creative process can't follow. You spend years, or decades, to refine a process that you will be confident with, that will make your body of works consistent. Mine for instance is rooted in programming, the way I learnt in the 80's , i.e manually typing thousands of lines of code in a simple text editor. I place my pride in writing my own code and not using third parties libraries. In an age where people will vibe-code everything, this process seems more and more archaic, and if I challenge myself to stick to this way, it feels like I'm fighting with bravery for the survival of a certain craftsmanship that will soon belong to the past. It's stubbornness mixed with pride and personal ethics, and perhaps a zest of existential fear.

Materialistic by Anthony Hiley-Mann
This is just such an amazing drop that I missed. Had to share the art. It’s just too good.
Materialistic is a generative artwork series bridging early computer graphics and Cubism. Both employed simplified shape, and used structured systems to interpret the world. By moving beyond realism, they deconstruct and reconstruct forms to capture a deeper understanding of their nature. This principle forms the core of the Materialistic algorithm.
Hiley-Mann embraces a process of analytical breakdown followed by creative reconstruction. Each scene begins with precise construction lines and multiple viewpoints, which are then reassembled through code. The final works reorganise into geometric forms and fragmented planes, offering not a single fixed perspective but several partial ones. Each composition invites viewers to engage, mentally piecing together the visual elements into a cohesive whole.

CENTURY-XXX-METALOEWENSBERG by Casey REAS
Presented on fx(hash)
Mints on Tuesday - 128 pieces in the set.
Price: 32 Tezos
This is an interesting one for me. Casey is doing a series of works, where each is a tribute to an artist from the 20th century. This one covering Verena Loewensberg’s works. It was a lot of fun learning about her and her art though this project. It’s a very cool tribute to her work. I’m going to share some of her art and the piece that looks to have really attributed to this project. I’m really looking forward to this release.

Ohne Titel (Untitled), 1969-1970 by Verena Loewensberg
CENTURY-XXX-METALOEWENSBERG is an homage to Ohne Titel (1969–1970) by Verena Loewensberg.
2 of 5 in CENTURY-XXX, Series 2
Edition of 128
CENTURY-XXX is a series of software sketches that pay tribute to artists of the 20th century. Each piece is named after a specific artist and reimagines one of their original works through code, often by adding motion, variation, or interactive elements. These sketches don’t replicate the original artworks but instead extend their core ideas into new forms.
By “software sketch,” I mean something more informal than a finished artwork. While some of my projects take months or even years to complete, these sketches are created quickly—often in just a few days. They may be lighter in process, but they’re equally important to me. Sketching with code is how I think through ideas and discover new directions for future work.
The project began with the CENTURY exhibition at DAM Projects in Berlin in fall 2012, where I premiered Network C, Network D, and the first Signal to Noise software piece. Since then, these sketches have inspired more full-scale artworks like METASOTO, METAVASARELY, METAMOLNAR (also known as Hommage à Molnar), including the eponymous CENTURY released through Art Blocks in June 2021.
CENTURY-XXX Series 1 was released from December 2021 to January 2022 in editions of 1,000. The first artwork in Series 2 followed in October 2022, also in an edition of 1,000. The remaining four works in Series 2 are scheduled for release starting in 2025, each in smaller editions of fewer than 128 based on what feels appropriate for the individual piece.
The long-term vision for CENTURY-XXX is to create 100 software sketches, each one inspired by a different artist and artwork from the 20th century.
