Hello and welcome to The Culture Project. I was out all weekend at the Counter-Strike Major in Austin, TX. I went with my wife and had an amazing time at the event. Now we are back and I’m a day late on my article. I was just too tired when I got home yesterday to finish what I had written. There was an amazing project dropping this week, but it looks like it’s been pushed back. We will look at some Rodeo mints, Objkt drops, and take another look at Harvey Rayner’s project he has been sharing.
Lets dive in.
Thought I would share just a couple shots from my trip.
Here are 15,000 fans a the Moody Center in Austin. Sold out arena. Was such a crazy and fun experience.
Walked around with my wife a lot. Just loved this shot of the art installation there with the Capital building in the background.

This was a nice surprise. I got a free Art Pack after my last mint. There are a lot of badass artists in the Season 01 pack. If you are minting stuff on Objkt there is a chance you may get one of these packs for free.
The objkt Art Pack is a unique NFT booster pack featuring exclusive, original artworks from 60+ incredible artists - commissioned specifically for this release. Each pack contains 3 random NFTs. Collectors receive these packs simply by making purchases on the objkt marketplace. Packs can then be traded or opened! Once opened, your NFTs are yours to keep, trade, or sell on the secondary market.
Works in Progress
I’ve shared some WIPs from this project a few weeks ago, but I feel like it has changed a lot since then. He has been asking lots of questions on twitter and his discord about the drop and how it should be released. One of the things I love about Harvey is the way he approaches each project and it’s release. He is always pushing boundaries and trying to figure out ways for the collectors to engage with the art and artist.

What do you think about this idea for a new drop mechanic for code based art? The idea may need some refinement, but basically random generations (not minted) are created in batches of 10 and revealed in a 1 minute auction with no extension and no reserve. The output with the highest bid (English auction) gets minted to the bidder and the other 9 get discarded and another 10 are generated and so on. Mint will obviously take time, but this could create a sense of an event and be a lot of fun. There is a potential to get a bargain and also obvious grails should reach a higher price. Bids could be hidden or revealed, or revealed after 30seconds. Lots of parameters to experiment with.
