Thought I should post an update to my last article. I covered the NFTbiker.xyz website pretty thoroughly and thought I would share that he has made most of the tools private now. He had let everyone know that it was going to happen and it's completely fair to do. Maintaining a website and tools like that can be costly. If you are interested in using his tools, you will have to purchase one of his NFTs on Objkt. Owning one of his NFTs that has x35 editions or less will act as a key to entering his site. It will give you access to all the tools that were available before.
I'm going to cover a few alternatives to his site. None of them offer as many tools as his site does. This will serve as a good learning experience to help explore the Tezos eco system and branch out to new things. I find when these things happen we tend to find some hidden gems that we didn’t know about before.
FXHash++
FXhash++ has some useful tools to monitor and interact with FXhash. I find myself using this site the most, due to my preference of NFTs on Tezos (generative art). You will need to connect your wallet to the site to use the functions. From the layout you can see the main page shows live updates on secondary sales and the newest listings.
If you check the menu on the far top right, you will see Mint and Reserves. I use these two the most. Mint feature is just that, minting live drops on FXhash. When you find a project on FXhash that you are interested in, you can click on the authors name and then you will see their Tezos address on the next screen right above their name.
Add that address in the mint section on FXhash++ and you will see a list of their projects. I’m using Hevey as an example, he has a really cool project that just released called Canyon.
It shows it’s ID #, how long until Canyon is ready to be minted, and how many will be available. When the mint starts it will populate the sales a lot faster on this site than it does on FXhash. You can get an idea of how fast something is minting out, if it is a dutch auction this can be useful. Some drops are a fixed price from the start and those can go fast. Most drops are pretty small, you can miss out on a mint if you wait to long. Big names on the site will usually mint out really fast.
If you go to settings in the Menu you will see a place to put Tezos addresses to Follow. I’ve put some of my favorite artists on here, this is just a small portion of the list.
When you go to the mint section you can toggle the Follow Addresses option and see what your favorites are up to. Easy way to check for new mints that may be coming up.
Live Mint Feeds
If you want live NFT feed alternatives you can check these three below. I've never used glry.xzy, but saw it recommended on twitter. They will show you all the mints that are happening on their markets in real time.
https://glry.xyz/live - glry.xyz does look like a site worth checking out, they do offer some other tools that look interesting.
Blockchain Explorer
Use this site for exploring the blockchain. You can monitor wallets and see what they are purchasing or selling. A lot of people will do this on the ETH blockchain. Find whales or big name wallets and monitor their activity.
Contract Monitoring
These sites are a little more advanced and something I’m still learning to use as well. You can monitor contracts to see when they are being deployed. This is something I will try and cover more in depth later on. Thought it was worth mentioning if anyone wants to start looking into it.
