Hello and welcome to The Culture Project. We are here with the next iteration of the fx(hash): Weekly Roundup. Another week with only a few things coming out to talk about. I decided to look at some projects from the last couple weeks and showcase a few that haven’t minted out.
Lets dive in.
Pixel Spaceships by Dave Bollinger
Mints on Monday - 256 pieces in the set. - Params
Price: 5 Tezos
This one has some heavy Space Invaders vibes, which I’m totally down for. I grew up playing arcades and Space Invaders was a game I played a lot as a kid. I really love the style and look of these little pixel ships.
"Pixel Spaceships" is retro pixel pop art. Spaceship-like forms are algorithmically generated by the hundreds, even thousands! It is an exploration of generative algorithms, an examination of limited perception and the power of suggestion, and intended to evoke a nostalgia for the artistic sensibilities imposed by the hardware limitations of early arcade machines.
Rectangle_Lines by Sora Kuramochi 🏵️ ILLARTs.jp
Mints on Tuesday - 100 pieces in the set.
Price: 0.5 Tezos
This is Sora’s first project on fx(hash) and I think a great start to their portfolio. It’s a minimalistic repeating pattern of rectangles that overlaps and spirals out. I love the mix of colors, some of which don’t seem to belong, but work really well together.
Nice to meet you, Generative Artists.
My name is Sora Kuramochi.
When I started Generative Art, I chose the term "ILLARTs" as my doctrine.
As you know, the prefix "ILL" means "Anti". This is because I have become more rebellious against the artworks on the market, and I wanted to "reconstruct" them in my own interpretation.
The word "ill" also has the meaning of "disease”. I found myself becoming more and more absorbed in this field as I created my own generative art. I would spend hours agonizing over an idea, and then I would devote myself to it for days until I was satisfied with my work! I can only think of this as a disease influenced by "madness”!
It is a wonderful thing to be so absorbed in something!
Now, this is my first piece of generative art.
I programmed the coordinates of the rect to overlap different nearby rects, creating a gentle spiral from the center to the outside, which is the unique feature of this work.
It may be a poor work for you, but I am happy to share the "madness" of this generative art with you!
Let's continue to enjoy the generative art with us!

From here on are projects that are ongoing and haven’t minted out yet. Just some things I thought were cool and worth checking out.
Losing My Marbles by Bleaker Art
Mint Started - 212 of 1024 minted. - On-Chain
Price: 0 Tez
This project is mostly reserves with a few open to the public now. I was happily surprised to find I had three to mint. There is so much going on in this space I had no idea I was in the reserve list. Thank you Bleaker Art, I love the mints I got. It’s a wonderful little project for a spin-off idea. Sometimes we get inspired by our own work and find things that they could be.
A spin-off idea from a spin-off idea. Lean into losing it.
Mint Started - 225 of 1000 minted.
Price: 0 Tez
A free mint to the public. I’m surprised more of these didn’t get minted. We’ve seen several Elementary Cellular Automaton projects in the past, but when done right they can look so damn good. Some of the rarer patterns in this project hit hard. It was fun to explore this one and collect a few.
An Elementary Cellular Automaton created with pure JavaScript. In this instance, the capability to invert the order of the rule has been added, and the drawing is performed from the bottom of the canvas to the top, resulting in a fresh perspective. Finally, a gradient is incorporated to accurately differentiate the states of the cells.
Cosmik by Pablo Andrioli (Kali)
Mint Started - 47 of 256 minted. - Onchain - Params - Interactive - Custom UI
Price: 7 Tez
This project has some amazing and beautiful outputs so far. The really cool thing about this one is the minting process. It’s a params project, so you help choose your output, but this goes further than that. You are able to mouse over and help “paint” it. The params part of this is more interactive than most and really worth checking out.
"In the cosmic dance of chance,
threads of light weave together,
a universe cradled in the palm
of an abstract dream."
