Hello and welcome to The Culture Project. We are here with the next iteration of the fx(hash): Weekly Roundup. The day is closing near where projects will start minting on the Ethereum blockchain and there are some amazing projects coming. I really have mixed feelings about it. There are a plethora of reasons why this is a great thing, but I dread the gas wars that are coming. If you aren’t use to them, it may be a painful new experience for you. One of the great things about Tezos is the gas prices. A gas war in Tez could cost you as high as 30 Tezos (roughly $30 USD) on a hyped drop. With ETH it can easily triple or quadruple that. The chain can be very busy at times and gas will reflect that. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. In the long run I think this is a smart move by the platform.
Lets dive in.
The Bayer Kernel by Wouter Missler || WootScoot
Mints on Tuesday - 200 pieces in the set.
Price: 10 Tezos
I’m a fan of the dithering look when it’s done right and these look really good. Some of them remind me of topography maps. All that paired with the color palettes and you get some really nice outputs.
An exploration in bayer-matrix dithering. Based on a four by four bayer-matrix, this piece explores the texture and feel a simple algorithm like dithering can add. The feeling of organic perlin-noise based form contrasting with the sharp rigid form of the dither creates a great feeling of balance.
Mints on Friday - 300 pieces in the set.
Price: 15 -> 12.5 -> 10 -> 7.5 -> 5 Tezos
Changes every 45 minutes.
I really love the theme of this project. The moody colors and dark tones really set the tone the artist was looking for. I found my self looking at a lot outputs for this one.
Drawing inspiration from George Orwell's dystopian novel "1984," this generative artwork embodies the pervasive themes of surveillance, control, and resistance that define the narrative. The piece is a tapestry of algorithmically generated visuals, each element chosen to reflect the oppressive atmosphere and the flickering sparks of rebellion in Orwell's world.
At the heart of this artwork is an interplay of colours and shapes, structured around thematic categories like "Oppression," "Resistance," "Rebellion," and "Dystopia." These attributes, morph and evolve throughout the variations in order to depict the novel's stark dichotomy between the monochromatic uniformity of a totalitarian regime and the vibrant defiance of its subjugated citizens.
Heat Death Infinity by Collapsar B.
Mints on Friday - 100 pieces in the set.
Price: 15 -> 12 -> 10 -> 7 -> 5 Tezos
Changes every 5 minutes.
Another project with an interesting message. Death and rebirth, trying to evolve your art, but instead you find yourself changing. It’s about acceptance and growth, while learning to move on to a new path.
This piece was started as a thing about evolution.
I joined the generative art movement one year ago, so to celebrate it, I decided to take the code of the Tangentum and let it evolve into something new.
I made several attempts, and all of them were unsuccessful. And the reason was not the code quality - it worked as it should, but the life ran out of it with every iteration. It looked rotten, like organic cells falling apart. At the same time, I was facing a period of existential crisis, so it took me even deeper into my dark emotions. My artwork was dying, like myself.
But then I realized that it’s a natural process. You meet the Idea, or the Muse, and it helps you give birth to an artwork, probably with pain. Then It lives its life, with or without you, and then it dies. You can do nothing with it, the only thing you can do is accept it. You can’t reuse the same idea to make art over and over again; someday, you have to let it go and give something new a chance.
So I finished this piece as a thing about acceptance of death, at least the death of Muses and Ideas.

A really cool project to come across. Would love to explore the algo on this one some more.
Lines, Lights, Life
Mirage Aquatique - Launch Calendar - December 12th - Subject to Change.
This is just a lovely minimalistic abstract work. Like paint drops that have dried over time. It has a really nice mix of colors and textures.
Yuragi - Launch Calendar - December 14th - Subject to Change.
Most likely 0.05 ETH with 128 edition - Price and edition size not set in stone.
I covered this one already, but wanted to come back to it. I reached out to Kazu and found out a little bit more about the release. The price and edition size might change, but he thinks it will be around .05 ETH with 128 editions in the project. The ETH delay has put him and other artists in a difficult place, but it’s great to see this finally coming out. It has a beautiful mix of audio and visuals.
This work represents the interaction and flow of objects of various scales through animation and audio.
Even seemingly stable phenomena are in constant flux when viewed on different scales of size and time, and there is no such thing as an unchanging situation. Each object is as small as a grain of sand when viewed as a whole, and no single object alone can affect the whole, but is swallowed up by the larger currents and fleetingly disappears, emitting a fleeting color.
I feel that the life of a person is like this.
formless-x - Launch Calendar - December 14th - Subject to Change.
I absolutely love the look of these. They are called formless, but I can’t help but see creatures and aliens in most of the outputs I’ve seen. Another one I can’t wait to explore more of the algo with.
fxhsh:Intertmined - Launch Calendar - December 14th - Subject to Change.
These have a very psychedelic look to them. They are very well balanced looking with a nice blend of lines and colors.
"Intertwined" is my art collection that weaves vibrant colors into a mesmerizing dance, all brought to life through the magic of coding. In these pieces, I've discovered the delicate balance between complexity and harmony.
In "Intertwined," colors blend seamlessly to tell a unique visual story. It's where art meets programming. These artworks are entirely crafted through coding using GLSL in less than 30 lines, opening the door to limitless possibilities in art creation through this method. At present, I am delighted to share the results of my coding journey with you.
Considering that each output of this code generates a unique piece, I will place distinctive pieces of this collection on various blockchains such as Tezos, Cardano, and Ethereum.
Trame communale - Launch Calendar - December 15th - Subject to Change.
This is a very interesting project. The anaver.se has been around for a little while. It’s a unique metaverse and art gallery of sorts. I recommend reading the intro and learning more about it. You will be able to load your mint from this project into the anaverse as a new “village” system. I’m soooo damn intrigued by this. I am excited to learn more about it.
Trame communale is a generative architecture project.
The generator is made to produce 64 iterations of buildings whose plans are consistent with most plastic bricks brands. Most of the resulting structures fit in a 40x40x150cm space.
Iterations can be virtually loaded in the anaverse under a new "village" system, which loads them all in a same space (positioned according to their order of creation).
All owners inhabit a same commune.
