Hello and welcome to The Culture Project. We are here with the next iteration of the fx(hash): Weekly Roundup. We had the big fx(hash) 2.0 release this last week and the team had to make the tough decision to push back the Ethereum side of the release. It’s going to be released on December 14th. I think this is the right call and one the team didn’t make lightly. I have complete faith in the fx(hash) crew and what they are building. We’ve had a lot of amazing projects released on Tezos for the 2.0 launch. I haven’t been able to participate much in mints, but damn it’s been fun watching it all from the sidelines. The launch calendar is going to be a permanent fixture to the site, but needs some work and will be updated over time. I’m really excited for all these new updates once everything is polished.
Lets dive in.
Another new feature that just released is the Open Edition. There are a few really good ones currently going on that I’ll cover. After that we are back to looking at new projects coming out this week. This will be a mixture of incoming and launch calendar projects and I will mark each one accordingly.
On going Open Edition. Open Forever.
Price: 0 Tezos
This is a really nice free mint that will be open forever. Just a wonderful gift for the 2.0 opening. Very nice gesture and project from Gin.
Celebration of the update to 2.0
On going Open Edition. Ends February 29th.
Price: 3 Tezos
I really like the look of these, the different sizes, and how each one is framed. This will be a redeemable project like a lot of Shawn’s work. He has done some amazing physical pieces for past projects.
Physicals from macvynls personal collection. From Shawn’s last project Mini Dahlias.
Luminous Echos is an open edition to celebrate the launch of fxhash 2.0 and will remain open until leap day 2024. With a free physical edition randomly given away for each batch of 100 mints.
Iterations are redeemable for a signed physical edition.
All outputs contain embedded blueprints for cutting a physical edition with a high powered laser out of 12 layers of archival paperboard.

On going Open Edition. Ends December 10th.
Price: 1 Tezos
A painterly abstract project with wonderful textures and colors.
A celebration of progression. fx(hash) 2.0!
This piece symbolizes the amalgamation of all the incredible generative artists publishing artworks on the platform we call fx(hash). The place where my journey in the wonderful world of generative art started, along with many others.
A spiritual successor to my first ever piece on here, brush strokes.
Lets have a toast on fx(hash) 2.0, and may it live on for a while longer :)
On going Open Edition. Open Forever?
Price: 0 Tezos
This is a really cool idea for an Open Edition and one I thinks takes it to the next level. It’s just adding a new tally per mint as the number goes up, but with certain numbers come complex and fun results.
An example of it’s simplicity at the start. Check the gallery below to see some cool iterations.
Tally! Is a year long, free, open edition to celebrate fxhash v2. Data from the minting of Tally! will be used to create other new artworks.
This artwork is simply about counting up from one to wherever we end up, with a litle bit of Fizz Buzz thrown in. Mints that have a prime numbers* as factors will have slight variations. Sometimes those variations will combine, sometimes you have to get to really high numbers for multiple prime numbers to combine.
Where the finally Tally! ends up who knows? But there's going to be a lot of tallying along the way, and it'll give you something to do while waiting between other mints.
Aqueduct by Nicolas Lebrun presented in partnership with Atelier
Mints on Monday - 128 pieces in the set. On-Chain
Price: 20 Tezos
This is a really impressive animated on-chain project. It has a minimalistic feel to it and has some great outputs and animations.
One example of the animation. I recommend checking out more of them.
To create these compositions, the program creates random curves (based on Perlin noise).
It traverses these curves like a topology, tracing the curves where they overlap to form sequences and patterns of three types:
- successive vertical lines
- solid shapes (colored)
- two solid shapes that encase the curves from top to bottom (colored)
Editions are divided into two main types of composition: those in which the colors are aligned, and those in which the curves are aligned. These two types of compositions will determine how the drawing is animated.
Calx by Lammetje presented in partnership with Atelier
Mints on Monday - 200 pieces in the set.
Price: 15 -> 13 -> 11 -> 9 Tezos
Changes every 15 minutes.
Lammetje with another impressive project. I’ve been a long time follower of his and love their work. A beautiful abstract project that looks like it was colored with chalk and paired with exceptional color palettes.
Calx, originating from the Latin term for chalk, pervades Western Europe and has been a tool for human expression from ancient cave markings to classroom blackboards. This abstract artwork explores the concept of creating impressions through a matrix of interconnected lines linking pixels of identical hues. The project encompasses 26 distinct palettes, spanning from understated tones to vivid hues. Varied in density and amplitude, the lines articulate diverse emotional nuances.
Hex Appeal - Launch Calendar - December 4th - Subject to Change.
I’m an avid reader of Ahmad’s weekly articles. If you don’t read it you should, he covers a wide range of subjects and it’s always a great read. I’ve been following the progress of this project through it. Excited for it’s release.
WIP - more info soon
Omar Lobato presented in partnership with Atelier
Bravata - Launch Calendar - December 4th - Subject to Change.
Still not a lot of information on this one with it coming out later this week. Some really interesting outputs, very unique abstract work. Would love to explore more outputs for it.
Sacred Tapestries - Launch Calendar - December 5th - Subject to Change.
I really like the look of these and curious to see more. I like what I’m seeing so far.
Work in Progress.

T E C T O N I C A - Launch Calendar - December 6th - Subject to Change.
The animations below in the gifs are amazing, blowing my mind over here. Really looking forward to this one to see more iterations in action. This is a really impressive looking project.
TECTONICA represents the final remnants of the Universe's vast computer, a layered stratum of glitched, galaxy-sized digital memory banks. These calcified data deposits have accumulated over eons, forming physical tectons that span light-years of space. They offer a glimpse into the fundamental building blocks employed by a forgotten alien civilization, which encoded its entire culture as digital data in physical form. While the specifications for this stellar machine have been lost to time, its fractured components continue to perform computations, seemingly trapped in an eternal loop. We can observe the inner workings of this enigmatic structure, but its true meaning remains forever silent, its message encrypted. TECTONICA serves as an artistic exploration of this fictional world and its algorithm-driven deep-space geology.
Edge - Launch Calendar - December 7th - Subject to Change.
This is a fantastic mesh of two artists coming together. The outputs are gorgeous and the clouds have such a mood to them. This is really well done.
This collaboration was destined to happen. The joint effort of two landscape enthusiasts, each with a distinct approach to creation and style, resulted in something new for both. 'Edge' is a project showcasing subtle lines that connect in the subconscious something not opposing but slightly different. It's the edge that separates the dusty country road you're driving on from the beautiful, colorful landscape outside the car window. It's the edge that almost imperceptibly divides day and night during sunrises and sunsets. It's the edge where AI and generative art have converged…
I wish I could have covered more projects, but there are just to damn many. Sorry if I missed yours and good luck to all the artists out there releasing.

Solid coverage, Ab! I collected several of these projects already. The Luminous Echos physicals are impressive. I missed that one. Techtonica is also very interesting. Thanks for the discoveries once again🔥
