Hello and welcome to The Culture Project. We are here with the next iteration of the fx(hash): Weekly Roundup. I’m releasing this article a day early this week. We are going to the Renaissance Festival tomorrow. It’s always a lot of fun right before Halloween. You get the medieval fairy land with a mix of horror. Luckily there are plenty of wonderful projects releasing this week and already posted to fx(hash).
Lets dive in.
Mints on Monday - 200 pieces in the set.
Price: 5 Tezos
This project is a wonderful display of minimalist line work. It has a really nice range of outputs. It’s also completely on chain, which is a newer feature to recently come to fx(hash). It’s really nice to see a lot of new projects using it. This is also a redeemable project in case you’d like to receive a physical plot.
Kink is a representation of the idea that creative evolution is born from the subtle twists, turns, and kinks.
A base element is manipulated, bent and reshaped, subjecting it to the artistic equivalent of a kink. When several such ideas converge, they give birth to a fresh concept altogether through an evolution in thought and form.
Mints on Monday - 50 pieces in the set.
Price: 6 -> 4 -> 2 -> 1 Tezos
Changes every 5 minutes.
Overshoot has a powerful message to it’s beautiful art. It’s crazy to think about amount of people on the earth and the available resources needed to sustain us. The outputs are a wonderful set of abstract landscapes.
Each day at 2 pm, humanity’s demand for ecological resources exceeds what earth can regenerate that day. After 2 pm, we live on future generation's expense. This artwork changes to an expressionist version once the overshoot moment has passed, day by day.
This project closes the feedback loop between lifestyle and environmental impact. 10 countries are featured with their individual overshoot moment. In Australia, the resources are completely consumed at 5 am in the morning. In Thailand, the earth’s ecological limits are reached at about 4 pm.
Mints on Tuesday - 128 pieces in the set.
Price: 4 Tezos
Phantasmagoria is dream like in nature and I think these really pulled off that feeling and look. Almost horror like or eerie at times. The first output I had looked like it had a ghost like face. I really enjoyed exploring this project.
ℹ see Phantasmagoria - noun - A dreamlike state where real and imagined elements are blurred together.
💡The work on this series started with an exploration on perceived shapes in a complex generator using noise and randomisation.
👻The deeper I was going into my exploration, the more I encountered scary or spooky iterations.
🧙♂️Inspired by the art initiated by Paul Philidor or Étienne-Gaspard Robertson, I decided to explore the creation of alternate, disturbing, undefined forms in the dark.
👋🏻 Personally, Fantasmagoria is a catharcis, and might be the last piece of my "dark" phase. Releasing this project means a lot, not only from the work I've put in it, but from the chapter of my life it closes.
Mints on Wednesday - 200 pieces in the set.
Price: 5 Tezos
I’ve really enjoyed Rahimiha’s work on fx(hash). They are getting more impressive with each release. These marsh lands are created with minimalist dots that really come together to make an impressive detailed landscape. Check the closeup below to see the fine details.
In Farsi, 'Mordāb' translates to 'marshes,' embodying both tranquility and mystery within nature. The term also carries the meaning of 'dead waters,' yet paradoxically, marshes are teeming with life. This project, meticulously crafted with minimalist dots, draws inspiration from ampersionism techniques, creating a seamless fusion of realism and fantasy. Utilizing a palette of serene, realistic hues alongside vibrant, imaginative shades, I envisioned a space where one could truly wander, dream, and embrace the paradoxical vitality of marshes. Chill, dream, and let your thoughts wander amidst the captivating allure of nature.

Oh man, you’ve made my minting choices easy this week. I love that you included my good friend, Pixel Symphony, here. Excited for that one. The rest all make use of aggregation of small parts, a technique of which I’m a big fan.
Enjoy the festival🫡
